Since 1992, Big Apple Greeter has been pairing visitors with New York City volunteer Greeters who explore the city together, free of charge, on foot or by public transportation. Warm and welcoming, a Greeter meets up to six people and shares his/her personal knowledge of New York City's culture, people and diverse neighborhoods. A Greeter is not a professional tour guide. Instead, a Greeter is a new friend who is ready to spend two-to-four hours sharing the city he/she knows and loves.

Nous avons partagé une matinée avec Heather qui nous a fait découvrir central parc et des zones que nous ne connaissions pas. C’était un moment très agréable et Heather était de très bonne compagnie et nous également donner des tips durant tout notre séjour. À refaire sans hésitation afin de voir NY comme des vrai new-yorkais.
We had an amazing tour with Rich from Brooklyn. It was really fun! He walked with us for 5 hours over the Brooklyn Bridge and through Brooklyn Heights, explaining everything to us. It was great!
Myself and my daughter where shown around today by Richard and I enjoyed every minute of it. We spent 7 hours with him and his knowledge was fabulous. I feel like we got so much out of it and seen things we otherwise would have missed. I highly recommend using these for you New York trip. It will make all the difference.
