Limited selection but items are pricey even when on sale Big 5 is smaller than Sportmart and not surprisingly it has a limited selection of sporting items. The treadmills on display look old and decrepit, and there are only 2-3 models you can choose from. They often have sales but the prices are still higher than average. Big 5 is readily seen as you drive along El Camino, and has a large parking lot. I wouldn't really recommend buying anything at Big 5 because it's overpriced. Used to be better This Big 5 location used to have more stuff a few years ago. Now, everything they have on sale is old and some of the shoes are actually torn and missing laces etc. I did buy some exercise equipment on sale from them a few months ago.

Nice sports mart I have been visiting this place for the last 10 years. They sell stuff from sleeping bags to exercise equipment. You could get very good deals during the frequent sales they put up. The quality of things you buy here are usually very good. The shoe section is usually a mess, but the folks who work here are very friendly and courteous. Recommended.

Big 5 sporting Goods Big 5 Sporting Goods is a fairly small store. It is quite a ways away from my home. I was driving past it, and something caught my eye. They had a gigantic sale of shoes and sports equipment. This was not organized but the employees helped me find what I needed to find and quick. They do not have a really big selection, but it's decent and is enough if you need some regular sporting equipment.

Got a good deal on a large backpack and the friendly cashier made visiting this large Big 5 a good experience.

They did not have baseball umpire brushes in stock and there was hardly anyone available in the store to ask questions of.

Large, traditional sporting goods chain offers value-priced athletic shoes, apparel and accessories, plus equipment for most team and individual sports. – In Short Big 5 Sporting Goods has been around since 1955, and operates nearly 300 stores throughout the West. The well-stocked shelves of baseballs and mitts, fishing poles, sleeping bags, weight-lifting equipment and more are perfect for beginners or casual athletes. In addition to a huge wall full of brand name and look-alike athletic shoes, find racks of socks, jerseys,... read more
