Bicycle Toy and Hobby was started in 1927 on Wrenn Street in downtown High Point by Jesse Jennings. In the 1940's Jesse moved the store to 504 N. Main Street. Over the years the store moved away from Toys and Hobbies and focused more on bicycles. In the early 1970's Jesse son Danny and wife, Dolly, took over the family business. In 1986 Danny and Dolly moved the store to the present location at 2000 North Main Street. Today third generation son's Dale and Derric work in the store. Wow! I was passing through town and saw the bike on the roof. I decided to stop. I'm glad I did. Danny immediately greeted me and we started chatting about bikes. He has a huge selection of quality new and used bikes. I got a carbon Trek Madone for a song. Highly recommended!
This is one of the best bike shop experiences I’ve had. The shop is owned and expertly staffed by a lovely family who are dedicated to the joy of cycling. Featured are Trek bikes, a premium brand that gives customers a lot for their money.
Dale always takes great care of our bikes. He always has a smile and works hard to get our bikes back to us quickly with repairs/tune ups. We can return after a year and he still remembers details about our life- such a great family!
Honestly one of the best bike shops I have ever been too! Very fair prices, with choices of new take off parts and used bikes. Definitely check out the upstairs for some cool and unique items. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
Stopped in to learn some basics about e bikes. Danny is the nicest man, and very knowledgeable. I will be back because of the first class customer service. If you want information, look for this gentleman. Thanks Danny!
