Great Mechanic, Very Friendly Family Owned Shop – The owner, Andreas, was the head mechanic at Metro Bicycles in Manhattan before opening his own shop in Astoria. I visited a number of bicycle shops in Manhattan and Queens and always return here. Andreas does the wrenching while his daughters and wife take care of the sales. Best Bike Shop in Queens (Long Island City) – I have known the owner a long time ago, when he was one of the head mechanics at Metro Bicycles. He's a superb mechanic and knows how to fix and tune my road machine with care and precision. He's very involved within the industry, and has attended Interbike at Las Vegas for years. He was the head mechanic for a Colombian National cycling team. I highly recommend him.
Hard working, growing shop – Warm and amiable owner. He's fast and accurate and he offers good recommendations based on what you're willing to pay. I found the shop 6 months before i left the neighborhood, i go out of my way when I have the time.
