Super disappointing. I came to BetterWay Mortgage for a mortgage in July of 2021. I was guaranteed the same rate that a competing bank was offering. After 2 weeks (all the time to submit the required paperwork and a $550 appraisal that was ordered), I was told they could not honor the rate they promised me. This was a short sale property so I only had 35 days from approval to purchase this home. If I did not close by then, the home would go into foreclosure.
