I applied for a HELOC. Initially, the process was great. Website was easy to work with. But when it got to underwriting, thats when the limitations of this company showed itself. It is a cookie cutter lender. Any kind of mixed income sources (combination of 1099, W2 and rental income) as evidenced on my tax returns is not what they would consider. They only look at W2s. Worst lender I have worked with in a long time. I work in the real estate industry and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.
Be prepared for harassing phone calls non stop even after telling them you found another lender. They will call you before 9am on a Sunday, no matter how many times you answer and ask them to take you off their list. Edit:I have written the below email without a response and have still been called this weekend.
Wildly terrible and exhausting experience. 0/10 don’t recommend
Gave me a quote not worthy of my credit score and then continued to harass me for FOUR MONTHS. Phone calls, emails, texts....constantly, multiple times a day. They hire debt collectors to call and leave nasty, threatening messages about me not calling them back...I'VE SAVED THE MESSAGES. Dirtbags, scummy business people, horrible practices.
