Maintenance is lacking in various aspects of the building and management hasn’t kept up with maintenance such as screws in walls in patient rooms, plaster patches on walls not painted for months and more, unacceptable as it is a modern building and had a high standard when it was built in 2017 but poor building maintenance management.

My partner was placed in Bethanie gwelup about 6 years ago and ever since she's had problems with the care staff and the management of the facility. she went to a sleep clinic study the facility arranged for transport to the hospital the study was over night the night staff didn't notify the morning staff that she was to be transferred back to the facility and I being her partner got a phone call the next morning asking when I was going to be picking her up the facility didn't give the hospital any of her medications and nor... read more

We live 10 minutes drive from Bethanie Gwelup and my mother-in-law passed away with no loved ones by her side due to a staff "breakdown in communication". Doesn't get much worse than that!! Speaks volumes really.

Don’t be deceived by the attractive building plan and architecture of Bethanie Gwelup. I have no doubt the staff there are dedicated and hard working people, but the administrative processes and protocols are somewhat questionable. From my experience is the ongoing search for missing (or stolen?) personal items and the internal communication breakdown when the families of loved ones need to be notified during the most urgent of situations. It is so sad that Mum passed without having time to appreciate the simply wonderful people and facilities at Bethanie Gwelup. We have the highest regard for the team approach to the care of my mother. We received the very best personalised attention from when we first submitted the application. Our questions were answered promptly and there was no delay in organising a tour of the facility.
