Bert's is quintessential Detroit, the best of what makes the city a place of music, food, and soul. One of the longest running venues in the city, and consistently one of the most diverse. You might run into a Motown star, or an artist from the many other Detroit record labels, back in the day. A fun, grown up place in the D - authentic Detroit.

The food is terrible I will never order breakfast there again they need to get some better cooks and while I was there about 10 different groups of people walked out I sent my food back 3x the last time I told them I’m leaving take it off my order very poor service
First visit and I was really impressed. Told my daughters about Bert's better then going to the Casino'slot. Safe very friendly and pleasant. It was like finding one of Detroit hidden treasures. Plus I was given a brief tour and history lesson. I'll go back!
Bert's Market Place Complex has been my favorite place to go in Detroit to socialize and hear good entertainment for many years. I'm one of many singers who've hosted the long-term Thursday Night Jazz Jam Session that's in its 17th consecutive year. There's really no other entertainment spot in Detroit that's quite like Bert's. A nightclub with a master plan. This venue is where I really got my start singing jazz every Thursday night for almost 6 years. Outside of my respect & love for the staff. This complex is more of an adventure any night of the week. Bravo!
