Had a really nice 1 hour trip with my wife and my two children 9 and 11 years old.
This was by far the best part of our vacation. We called Ken (Bert) around 9am asking if he would be able to get us in the water the same day (just 2 adults). He had us meet him about 2 hours later near the river where we would end our trip. He then drove us to his main site and gave us a quick but thorough safety lesson. Took a self rescue class with Bert. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and a great teacher. Definitely someone to contact for all things kayak or canoe related. He also rents and transports kayaks and canoes.
Went to Bert's Boats for a class on kayak self-rescue. Bert is a great teacher, knowledgeable, experienced and low-key. He shared lots of tips about kayak basics. I feel much more confident about kayaking in deeper water now! Thank you, Bert.
Spent a delightful two hour kayak paddling experience on the Lamoille River with 3 family members. Bert got us to the river by shuttle, fitted us with life jackets, provided a quick lesson on paddling and safety and then we were in the water and off. Highly recommend Bert's Boats for a truly enjoyable day on one of Vermont's beautiful rivers.
