The best workplace lawyer in town
Sent my paperwork in a few days before they told me to. Got a call from the office telling me to send my paperwork in because I was late. What had actually happened was her daughter went on vacation and didn’t forward it. After she accepted my case and told me what a good case it was, the defending attorney sent a letter back and Lisa informed me that her husband does business with them and all of the sudden my case was probably not worth following through with.
Ms. Bertini is a bright, articulate and straight-forward communicator. I contacted her for a second opinion on a severance agreement that had taken months to get into final draft form. I learned more from Lisa in 30 minutes than I can begin to explain in this post. I provided information and background prior our initial meeting, and she came across as well versed in my situation when we spoke. I definitely recommend her!!
Didn't speak to Lisa directly, as she charges a very hefty fee ($350) for an initial consultation to determine IF you have a case or if she'll even take it. No intake form of any kind for details or to screen for potential conflicts of interest (even more concerning with one of the reviews below), which is standard for other firms. I am about as thorough as it gets; always measuring twice to cut once. I vetted and met with two attorneys before Lisa and in the end, I went with her. After losing my job, I found myself in VERY unfamiliar territory. I've never sued (or held accountable) any company before, and thought to take a softer approach as that's just me.
