She ought to be ashamed of herself talking to a disabled person in need of help like that. Sounds good in theory, but several years ago, although I qualified for services, they charged me the same as any other lawyer. ---in answer to the below, there was a sign over the desk that said "Berkshire Center for Justice" which, according to my research, was founded in 2006, before I even owned my home (the issue was about services from a heating company).
I am so grateful to Attorney Schatz and her team at Berkshire Center for Justice for their work in helping me recover a security deposit that was wrongfully withheld by my former landlord. My car was totaled by another person who was 100% at fault. We both had the same insurance company. The insurance company sent me a letter with the amount of payment they would send me for my car. They said a check is being sent to me. The amount however was $1092.00 less than the amount they were to send me. I am a senior woman and I was scammed by a local car dealer into buying a car I didn't even want, and the $50,000 loan with over $800 a month payments was going to break me financially. The Berkshire Center for Justice stepped in to help me and a number of other people in the same situation with this company. They won our cases all without going to court.
