I’d give them 0 stars if I could. They send a per capita tax that looks like junk mail and if you miss it you are charged outrageous late fees collections and threaten to put a lien on a property over what was a $15.00 tax. I have heard of people receiving bills from them after moving to less expensive places like NC and FL. They are inefficient, need to fire incompetent employees and need to be audited by the state or federal government. Well I tried to email them about a problem. Received an auto reply. Never got a real person to email back. Then I tried to call this morning. Just kept getting transferred around with no real person to talk to and no way to leave a message. Wish I could give zero stars.
Very helpful staff. They sorted my concerns right away. Ofcourse the office address is messed up on google and it took me a while to get here. But once i was here i got my work done in a jiffy.
I started a rental property in 2024 and they will NOT STOP sending me bills for 2023 rental tax...they said I have to write them a letter stating I lived in this unit until 2024....do I need to write a letter for every year I was alive that I didnt own a rental? Absolutely insane that they can check public records to find my new address and send me a $600 bill for income I didnt even receive, but they cant look at the public record to see that it wasn't even a rental until halfway through 2024. Their knowledge of the tax code is less than a basic google search. I imagine it’s a tough job and turnover must keep these employees closer to being astronauts than tax professionals, but i t’s a shame this wastes our time when time is already scarce. I look forward to when AI replaces inferior knowledge and this broken system.
