I purchase chicks from Bergs every year and I have always had a great experience. The chicks are always healthy and grow fast. The Bergs Brown are an amazing layer and well worth your money. The Cornish Giants are not as great and I usually lose quite a few of them
Ordered 30 Cornish cross this past year. The chicks were the healthiest I have ever gotten so far. I lost no chicks and averaged 7lb at 10 weeks after butchering. The chickens taste fantastic!
I ordered 10 buff orpingtons and 10 brahmas this year. I am very impressed with how healthy and active the chicks have been from day one, when one jumped right out of the box on me. All of the chicks are very interested in foraging. The buff orpingtons are exceptionally friendly and have almost completely feathered out at 4 weeks. I can't wait to see how they look grown up, and to see how well they lay. :)
