Exceptional Service When I Needed It Most! I cannot recommend Benzie Bus highly enough! As someone living in Frankfort with limited transportation options (we're a one-car household), I've relied on Benzie Bus several times for trips to and from Traverse City Airport, and they consistently exceed expectations. I’m not sure what’s going on lately, but the service has been unreliable. My daughter had to change her work schedule from 5:00 PM to 4:00 PM, because the only time they could get her there by 5pm was to drop her off at 4PM. It was pretty good for about two days, and then today she called to schedule her bus ride and they told he they could not get her to work until 4:15 to 4:20. Seriously?
An incredible public service in Benzie County. They offer on demand and scheduled pick ups and have regular runs to Munson in the airport in Traverse City. Very community minded offering free shuttles on New Year’s Eve to make sure all residents get home safe. Very well run and super friendly drivers and dispatch.
The four star is only for the couple of dispatchers and drivers that have seemed to truly want to help and do their job. No way can I give a five star review when most of the dispatchers talk down to you and are so rude. Public transportation is an amazing resource, too bad it can be ruined by a few bad apples.
