Hard to get someone to answer phone had to call 3 times, person answering the phone was somewhat snippy and unpleasant, hopefully the application I requested will be sent and I will not be penalized for giving a bad review, this interaction was surprising since I had very productive and pleasant interactions on previous visits to the Assessors office
They claim a pergola I installed that can be removed by taking the posts down that I attached to cement blocks that can be unscrewed and removed is considered a covered patio addition. They increased my property value to tax me more because of it.
How is it our home prices are dropping, yet the accesor is saying our homes are worth more. We need to get rid of Bill Spencer, he has astronically increased are accessed value costing us more in taxes. While most families are struggling in this economy, he's taking more money out of families pockets.
