They judged me the moment I walked in—solely because of my race. As I entered, the entire room fell silent, and every eye turned toward me, as if they had never seen a Black person before. I asked if I could use their bathroom, and they told me they didn’t have one for the public. What a way to treat a potential customer. Well, I’m not a customer—and I never will be. The people are always friendly and they do a great job making you feel like a person instead of an account number. They also have great loan rates and are able to do things big banks cannot do sometimes due to being a small business.
