Our church needed to purchase 350 chairs to replace our old existing chairs. I looked at many banquet chairs on line and received quotes from several companies. We chose Ubique and our sales rep was great to work with and explained the chairs we were ordering were currently out of stock but would be ready in about a month. First time order. Got 6 dining chairs. Pics.,details nowhere said/ showed extreme straight backs- no person could sit on, as well as at least one in box is damaged. Sent email to Ubique today. Never saw on website for these chairs about Customer paying shipping to return as well as 35% restock fees! Their reply was: refund of 35% restock fee taken out and customer pay to ship back- even the damaged one!??? This is horrible and unacceptable. Customers dont have $ to toss in the trash like this. I ordered 4 bar stools via Bed Bath and Beyond. I mistakenly ordered Mahogany seats instead of the Cherry seats that I wanted. I was informed by Bed Bath and Beyond that I am to ship the 4 bar stools and incorrect seats back to the partner supplier (Ubique) so that they can ship the barstools and correct seats to me. The bar stools and the seats are shipped in separate packages so I could easily ship the incorrect seats and exchange them for the correct seats. THIS MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL!!!! Was on the phone for 2 hours trying to get an update on tables that were supposed to be delivered last week. They had no idea and refused to contact the carrier THEY chose for an update on where they were. The chairs were already delivered and every chair we ordered from them also arrived damaged.
Bought 200 banquet chairs and tables, a chair dolly and 10 cocktail/bistro tables. Excellent customer service, and everything was delivered sooner than expected ~ and in excellent condition.
