I bought a home from someone who was using Bell Baker as their lawyers, and they made the whole process much more complicated than it needed to be. They forgot about and lost track of my 6-figure deposit, missed the deadlines they themselves imposed on multiple occasions and came after us for fees they forgot to request (they were in the contract, but we never received instructions on how to pay them) which led to last minute scrambling after closing. Don't ever go with John S as your family lawyer. He loves to mooch money by the minute. I would time and time again put very detail emails stating the agenda preparing what to write to send out and his response was always one liners. During my mediation session, he got cozy with other parties lawyer and forgot to present my agenda in the meeting.
