Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle and some of the staff while seeing if the Beehive would be a good fit for my dad. We were welcomed with smiles and warmth. Michelle is a kind soul who really made my dad feel welcome and comfortable while understanding the thought of change is terrifying to him. 1. I love all the activities--every day there is exercises. There is a punch card and a drawing for a prize at end of month. Then there is bingo M,W,F and Pokeno on T, Th. Everyday at 2pm there is a variety of things we can do. Also twice a month the bus takes a group to different places. Might be Walmart, a country drive or the casino. 2. I had my wife in a facility in Lacey for a month. When I went there for the tour I thought the place was great, I had a few other places to look at but I thought this place was great. Boy was I wrong, after switching her to numerous rooms they finally just dropped her off at the hospital. Never returning her to their facility, I could go on and on but why waste my time . The Beehive Retirement Community Leadership and Staff are top notch. Transitioning a loved one to assisted living or memory care can be difficult at best, but the Beehive staff made it as smooth as possible for my mom and they continue to take great care of her. The Administrator (Michelle) is very accessible and truly cares about everyone living and working in the facility. I moved into independent living when my husband passed away and am so glad I made that decision. It is casual a environment, the staff are all just wonderful. I've made some very good friends in the 3 years I've lived here, the kitchen staff take such good care of us too. I plan on staying here for many more years.
