Came for a spa day, first time visiting, unfortunately couldn't recommend it. The complex is a diverse mix of lots of things, sports, gym, restaurants, play crèche areas and the spa. I feel the whole experience was muddled and not very calming. Reception was busy, the music was booming in the gym and when we got to the spa area we were next to a pool which first had aquaerobics (disco music was pumping) then a kids session in the pool, wasn't exactly relaxing. I treated my sister and myself to a luxury spa day at Beechdown. It is a nice place although I felt a bit exposed walking around the place in our robes, I had in my head that we would have our own area to eat etc. The retreat area was nice, could do with a bit of an update, the outside area could be used or expanded into a private dining area etc. The pool and spa itself was nice, the pool was lovely and the spa rooms were nice, some areas were out of order and in need of an update.
