I made an appointment 5 days ago for 6:30 pm on Tuesday (today). Showed up at 6:20. At 6:30, the front desk person didn’t say anything about my massage so I asked them if it’s going to start soon. They said massages usually are 5-10 behind (which doesn’t make sense for any business). I continued to wait and at 6:45 I asked again, they went to the massage therapist and that person said it’ll only be a little bit longer. At 6:55, they still weren’t ready for me. I highly recommend this place, especially Jessica. I had a great massage with lots of pressure point work.
This is my first experience with acupuncture and it has been nothing short of wonderful. I have seen a few different practitioners here, but found my groove with Sarah. She is such an amazing listener and the care she provides is above and beyond. She truly personalizes each session to my needs and never fails to ask questions to figure out what will be most beneficial for my body that day. The entire staff at Bed Stuy Acupuncture & Massage is wonderful, and I've recommended them to several friends in need of body and/or TCM healing work. Kate has played a critical part in keeping me healthy and pain-free over the last year. I not only look forward to receiving acupuncture and trigger point from her, but also to just catching up with her as a person! I also love seeing Angela for therapeutic massages.
I really enjoyed Marquis' attention to detail, thorough touch throughout the entire 60 min. when he asked if I preferred it more on the strong side and gentle nature. It helped me feel more safe in such a vulnerable space with him and I really was in awe of his technique, especially because I've never seen some of them used from any other masseuses at other spas.
