Fabulous stat at the Shafer Baillie Mansion – On a recent trip to Seattle our son recommended that we stay at the Shafer Baillie Mansion board and breakfast. What a delightful stay we had. The owners, Mark & Ana Lena are residing in the mansion with their family and have been restoring the property to its original condition.
Since purchasing the property the entire plumbing system has been re-piped, but all of the antique lavatory, tub and shower fixtures have been carefully rebuilt, polished and are amazing to see and use.
The electrical system has also been re-wired, but again not a fixture or push button switch was omitted when the job was complete.

A millionaire's mansion from the early 20th century. – The Scene
Dark and just a little bit dusty, this three-story 1914 mansion resides on Seattle's old "Millionaire's Row." It offers insight into how the other half lived not that long ago. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, the home is a block away from the Seattle Asian Art Museum, the conservatory and the pretty gardens of Volunteer Park.
