have 8th grader in this school Excellent choral programs and they have a great drama program. It is an outstanding school. Daughter was new to the school as we moved from AZ and she fit right in. The kids are very friendly and the teacher are outstanding. They had a wonderful 8th grade graduation dance with huge academy award statues etc. and parents are encouraged to get involved.
Feel Sorry I recall always feeling sorry for the students of this school. Although they have an extremely nice junior high building and very high test scores, they have the weirdest name and colors (orange and green). Not only were they ridiculed for that, but their sports team didn't win a single game (at least when the school first opened). At least their academic program is excellent and it is located near prominent neighborhoods.
