Deal with both the auditor's and treasure's offices many times due to my field of work and always have pleasant interactions with them. Both over phone and via email. They always understand any situation I bring to them and fix them accordingly and efficiently. Thank you!
I had an issue that needed attention. I called first to see what paperwork the office would need. The lady I talked to was extremely pleasant and helpful. She walked me through it on line and resolved the problem without going in person.
I have called 4 times so far, each time I was put on hold for a split second before it started ringing, and each time the call was disconnected before I ever reached an actual human being. Thank you Beaufort!
Why all the bad reviews? I can't speak for anyone other than myself. I called Tuesday. Someone answered the phone. They were very courteous and helpful. I went to the auditor's office today. Frankly, based on all the negative reviews, I expected nothing but problems. Quite the opposite happened. There was no wait. The young lady who prepared my tax bill was super friendly and efficient. I then went to the treasurer and paid my bill in a mater of minutes. Spent less that 20 mins and went on my way.
No one answers the phone no matter what time of day. It's crazy.
