The Bear’s Lair is one of the stores inside the Senate Building. It is the same as most of the gift and souvenir shops in the area. The store carried lots of good souvenirs and gifts. The store is not very big, but the items are of good quality. The store is clean and the merchandise is well displayed.
Variety of items is good. We purchased several Christmas ornaments. Wish we had space in our luggage for larger items.
Great spot for Alaskan made gifts!
This is a special little locally owned island in a sea of cheap T-shirts and mass produced trinkets. It's not cheap, but it's filled with things that can be long time reminders of being present in the last frontier.
