I've been coming here for a couple years, probably once a quarter or so because I don't eat a ton of this. But, it reminds me of bonbons, stuffed lady fingers, and the custard cream filling is superb. They are delicious, never particularly busy when I show up, but I'm an off hours kind of girl. Wonderful food and a very welcoming owner. We will definitely be coming back.
I recently visited, and the location was easy to find, but upon arrival, the shop was empty, and I had to wait for an extended period as the sole clerk had stepped out. Despite this inconvenience, I tried the strawberry ice puff with green tea filling, which I'd seen recommended in a review, and it was delicious—it tasted like chocolate! I hadn't had Beard Papa's since moving to Houston, but this treat hit the spot.
Please tell me, who will clean your shop, Jesus? With all those quotes you have all over the place. Every surface is promising to give you a set of diseases upon contact. If I was more of a Karen than I already am I’d call food control or whoever. Maybe pest control too, this place is filthy. The service is the worst, you talk to them kids and they don’t hear you through the airpods. I saw the sigh saying yall are hiring, maybe hire some mexican people, they always get the job done.
Yooo these are a delicacy! Try a green tea shell and chocolate filling, you won’t regret! I died and came back to life eating this treat!
