I had the absolute worst experience with getting a loan with this bank. I asked for a commercial loan to buy a piece of property. I was told they could not do commercial but could do a HELOC. I was given a pre-approval letter, I made the offer, it got accepted, then the bank said we can only do $200,000 of the $300,000 I asked for. How DO I get a pre-approval letter and then can't get the money?!?! So they redid the loan to be a combo of HELOC and to included property I was purchasing. Beacon is all that is good and right about a community bank. They get to know you. The service is impeccable. The rates are competitive. Underwriting processes are fair and not overly beaurocratic. Our banker, Jonathan Peavey, is as good as they get. Check them out!
