Been living in Seven Corners since July 2015. No complaints. Rent is definitely fair priced for what you get---the building is older, but honestly the apartments are really well cared for. On site management is probably the best I've every dealt with (the "J"s as I call them---Jo, Jack, and Jackie are funny and make the place really feel like a home). Maintenance is prompt and I've never had to wait long to get something repaired in my unit. Place is kept up very well and you can tell the Js seem to like what they do (love their little notes they put up each month for reminders of rent, weather, etc). Haven't lived in any of BDC's other apartment buildings, but they are doing something right here at Seven Corners!

Very bad rental building – I rent an apartment near Loring Park that is managed by BDC Management. I have lived here for over a year. We had a couple that lived here that were well known for thier fighting. One week night, they fought from 12am till 4am. Screaming, slamming doors and chasing each other in the halls. Because there is no caretaker living here, I told the manager about this the next day. Nothing was done. After that I called 911 on them 6 times over the months. The rules in the lease state that If the police are called 3 times it's cause for an eviction. They were finally kicked out after 14 months of fighting on average of once a week. The manager here has a business on the side and I found out that the man of the fighting couple works for him. Could this be a conflict of interest? Another problem here is people hanging out in the halls some of them are homeless. Sometime using the hallways as a public toilet. One night at 3am my dog barked and I looked out and saw three guys doing a drug deal. One guy left and the other two stayed there and smoked the crack. I called 911. The two started to walk away and I looked to see where they went, they went into another apartment. When the police came I showed them where the guys went. He said there was nothing he could do because they went into an apartment. I told the manager about it the next day. Nothing was done. After that, the woman that lived in that apartment took a dislike to my 19 lb. dog. She went so far as to tell me she was going to kill my dog. So I told her the next time she said that, I was going to call the police on her. So she came at me yelling and then she grabbed me. She is close to 300 lbs. and I am a head shorter and 140 lbs. This happened in the main lobby during the day. I was screaming for her to let me go. The cleaning guy and the manager came running out of the office and that was when she let go. She claimed. that I was in her face. Still nothing was done. I wrote a letter to the manager of BDC management detailing all of this and other problems. I sent it registered mail return reciept requested. It has been 6 days and I have not heard anything from her. I am also aware that the manager of my building and her are really good friends. Another conflict of interest.
