Not a fan of Truist/BB&T personally and I have been a client of BB&T for a while. However, I had recently had an issue with an apartment building losing a large check. Jeff, Personal Banker, was able to assist me to the best of his ability. He met with me on short notice many times and provided me with the forms/necessary steps in recovering the money from a cashier's check that the apartment complex lost. Highly recommend his services.
I've been a SunTrust customer for many years. This combined BB&T and SunTrust branch refused to help me with notary needs I needed for a new job. Their notary wasn't helpful to this long time client. I then hit the streets and went to a nearby Citibank branch and they immediately helped me. The Citibank notary completed the forms I needed for verification. It is sad that SunTrust customers are treated better at other banks! Despicable.
Seems pretty shady and unethical to go to the bank and have them charge you to cash their own check
Franklin Vinueza is great 10am - 5pm loan officer, but if you need anything else during his non working hours he can get pretty nasty. Needed an updated preapproval letter after his working hours and wasn't willing to provide it. In a competitive market I highly recommend working with a different mortgage loan officer.
