This and the Seabrook branch are probably two of the worst banks that I have ever been to. What's really sad is that the employees are proud of it.
While BB&T as a whole is a great company, both Bowie branches provide horrible customer service and are run by terrible corrupt management who dehumanize employees. We had multiple business accounts with BB&T, and one of our employees worked here as well. I would say do NOT open an account here and do NOT apply to work at this branch. If you want to work for BB&T, apply to a different branch. If you want to do business with BB&T, go to a different branch.
I've been a BB&T customer for years so this might be a little biased. I have always found BB&T services good whatever branch I used. However, this branch is very friendly and helpful I was impressed when they actually remembered my name when I went in to make a deposit. They were also great when I needed to get some foreign currency for an overseas trip I made a couple of years ago.
