On my previous Family Weber, I had difficulty keeping it clean. When I purchased a new Family Weber I promised myself to keep it spotless, so I used to take heaps of time cutting and lining it with aluminium foil, worked great providing you wanted to spend all that time instead of enjoying cooking on the Weber. Stop promising year after year that the Ziggy one is coming out, you have been doing it for like 5 or more years now and it never comes out, just stop the BS already

These “BBQ skins” can increase the risk of a grease fire because they catch & pool fat where it’s not meant to sit, instead of letting it drain to the drip tray like a Weber Q is designed to. More smoke, more flare-ups, more risk. I’d also be careful warranty-wise, if a liner contributes to overheating, blocked drainage, or a fire, you’ve basically handed Weber an easy “misuse/lack of maintenance” argument. Weber doesn’t endorse them. Cheaper & safer: keep the drip tray empty, & scrape the cookbox when it needs it.
