Run don't walk from this hospital.. I had a horrific experience from the prep nurse for surgery, she blew my vein putting in an IV. Tried in a different vein, that had to be redone by another nurse for failure to work. Anesthesiologist who I spoke with m discussed my care was not the anesthesiologist in the operating room. I asked for a nerve block, never was administered. If I could give it zero stars I would but unfortunately I have to give one or the review won't post. The worst experience there, I had knee replacement surgery on Nov 28, the nurse prepping me for surgery busted s vein putting in IV. Tried a second spot but another nurse had to put it into a 3rd spot cause it wasn't working. I spoke to a anesthesiologist discussed having a nerve block, but in operating room I had a totally different anesthesiologist who did not give me the nerve block???? Why????? I am thankful I had a good surgery but the crap that makes you have a bad taste in your mouth is the customer service and everyone making excuses and drama. The billing crap is a mess and they will extort money from you on the day of surgery. Then they don’t even report to the insurance that they have demanded money from you. Less than 15 days post surgery and I am receiving bills that demand self pay and saying they don’t have my insurance information. I took my 73 year old husband to this facility today, June 3, 2023. He was diagnosed with dehydration, low potassium, and heat sickness. We were not there longer than 10 minutes, probably less when a nurse took him straight back as they let me finish checking him in. He was given the fluids he needed. His nurse, Kelsie, was very nice as were all the others in that department. Tremendous job. We are used to sitting in,waiting room a long time where we are from in nc. Great experience. My first time at BFH. Needed a PFT test and I was in and out on time and the young lady that administered the test was very nice and informative.
