Absolutely the worst DMV experience of my life. Upon walking in, I was met with an overwhelming odor of wet cigarettes. It smells like the clerks are smoking in one of the rooms at the DMV and it is getting in the HVAC system and it is smelling throughout the entire building badly. The bathrooms were also dirty. The only reason I drove an hour there because I live an hour away is so that I could correct an unsubstantiated claim and accusation by the Bay County DMV accusing me of not paying for RV insurance when I just bought... read more
Terrible experience. Smells like cigars in here. And they charge bogus fees that aren’t charged at other places or threaten to take your DL away even though you did nothing wrong. As a law abiding citizen, who pays my taxes for people to perform their job, this place is absolutely corrupt.
I'm a new resident to Florida and don't know much about the process of moving everything to Florida but I sat down with Heather and she was very knowledgeable and absolutely the most patient and professional employee I've ever dealt with.
I think people should know that a lot has changed in years when it comes to people and how they speak to you. No one is kind or respectful. This place has workers yes I'm sure are stressed and overwhelmed. However it's no excuse to quickly dismiss me or anyone else with a problem they are having with what they have a problem with. Like for example my identity card. I need it and wasn't given to me in the mail. The lady on the phone was cold short and not letting me get any concerning questions I had. Appointment is not required but definitely is better, cuts down on wait times.
