Went to Bay Area Pro Shop last week and met with Ray to purchase my first ball after having used house balls up until now. Ray was very helpful and guided me through the whole purchase process. We went down to the Bel-Mateo lanes a few steps away and he watched me bowl a bit. He then got a ball from his stock and watched me bowl with that ball. This pro shop is a hidden gem. The operator Raymond analyzed my hand and translated that into an impeccable drilling on my balls. I can now do a relaxed full backswing and still have the ball release off my thumb and fingers like butter. I have been to other pro shops and I can tell you the consultation/service here is lightyears ahead. Ray is extremely knowledgeable of the modern bowling game so if you are serious about getting a perfect release and improving your score make the trip here!!
Best Proshop in the Bay Area hands down! No bigger space with the best balls on the market. They don’t try to upsell you and make sure you leave happy. Everyone that came into the shop while I was there seemed to know the staff and were repeat customers. Highly highly recommend!
