This is the first experience I have had with a school that maintains a positive reward system. My son looked forward to hitting all of the marks required for him to get the free period on Fridays, other rewards, and to attend the field trips throughout the year. His first year was 6th grade and he took pride in friendly competition to become the number one reader in the entire school as he looked for his name placement on the wall to determine how much he needed to read in order to be placed ahead of his peers.
