They will write you up for lost time even if you bring in a doctors note. I was told “ I’m not accepting that doctors note bc it doesn’t say what’s wrong and then was written up for lost time even tho all he had to do was call them bc it said to call to they had questions or concerns bc I had the hospital write it out for them. Heads up on their apprentice program. None of their hours will count towards a state license so unless you plan on working at BIW for your whole career it would be pointless to start an apprenticeship here. They also said if you had an emergency and missed a couple weeks you’d have to wait a whole calendar year to pick up where you left off. So that just adds another year to the program
