We loved working with Maryssa at Bassett! She was extremely helpful when picking out the fabric for our couch and chair. We have a dog. She knew what we should and should not get and gave great suggestions for complementary patterns. Design is not our strength! She was patient, not pushy, and responded very quickly to questions. We highly recommend her!
Indeed, most of the reviews I see here for Bassett commend a designer/salesperson for devising a room plan that features all handsome, comfortable pieces -- usually a sofa and loveseat with an accent chair or two -- but the situation I brought to designer Maryssa Caseau was much more challenging; and the plan she delivered, something of a masterwork. Won’t ever order from Bassett again. My couch came damaged and I am getting no customer service. After 3 weeks of sending pictures and techs coming out No one from the chestnut hill store has called me and informed me how they were fixing the situation. Want to return entire order! Poor customer service.
BEWARE! Yes, mistakes happen and this is when a business shows it's true colors! Simply communicate and resolve the issue and everyone is happy. This is where Bassett fails! My entire furniture order was delayed because a rug pad was delivered to the wrong warehouse. I only found this out because I went to the store to check on my order. Delivery was finally scheduled, but no rug pad was delivered, and they delivered the wrong rug. This is where it where it went down hill.
