Marissa was so easy to work with. We told her what we were looking for and with each selection she showed told us about adding or removing the differences bases, and the variations of soft to firm cushions. Very knowledgeable.
I am writing this review on behalf of my parents, who purchased a complete bedroom set (bed frame, two nightstands, and a dresser) from the Chestnut Hill, MA location. While the initial experience with their Design Consultant, Denise, was pleasant, what followed the sale was unacceptable. We loved working with Maryssa at Bassett! She was extremely helpful when picking out the fabric for our couch and chair. We have a dog. She knew what we should and should not get and gave great suggestions for complementary patterns. Design is not our strength! She was patient, not pushy, and responded very quickly to questions. We highly recommend her!
Indeed, most of the reviews I see here for Bassett commend a designer/salesperson for devising a room plan that features all handsome, comfortable pieces -- usually a sofa and loveseat with an accent chair or two -- but the situation I brought to designer Maryssa Caseau was much more challenging; and the plan she delivered, something of a masterwork.
