Just wanted to share my experience with the Base Camp located in Castle Rock. Harley and his crew are so knowledgeable and helpful. I was just looking for some new grips and I got so much more! This is my go to shop and the one I recommend to my Mountain Biking friends!
I hate to write a negative review of a local business, but in good conscience I have to warn others. I stopped in the Platt Park location today (3/18/25) to drop my mountain bike off for a tune and ask a question about the rear suspension. When I'm ridingin south metro Denver or when I'm pushingpedalsdown in CastleRock, theMAC Base Camp is a frequent stop along my travels. This place is the spot whether tostock up forthe ride ahead or replenish from the ridejust finished. Thanksfor keeping me on the trail.
I had a bike that hadn't been ridden in several years. It was in rough shape. I took it to Base Camp Cyclery for a tune-up. Harley was great to work with! He answered all of my questions and didn't make me feel stupid for asking them. He didn't try to up-sell me on anything. He went through the entire bike, told me exactly what it would cost to get it riding again. When I picked it up, it looked like it was new out of the box. I highly recommend this bike shop and I will definitely be back to give them my business.
