This Department is a joke. Someone other than the registered owner of a vehicle was pulled over. The “chief deputy” didn’t even attempt to make contact with the owner of the vehicle to ensure it wasn’t stolen or that they were aware of what was happening to their vehicle. They simply impounded the vehicle which is 100% the discretion of the officer involved. Had a car get broken into and something stolen from it. Police officer was absolutely great. Not everybody has a great day, give cops a break occasionally too
Today the police closed Garfield for a downed tree or something. Perfectly fine. After seeing this I turned off and tried to find a way around. Finding nothing but dead ends and not a way to the otherside I decided to go back and ask the officer for directions. This was where the mistake started. I figured a nice, professional, protect and serve police officer would be there.
