The worst experience with any bank in my life! Had a $24 charge on my credit card that escalated to $300 because they had my email address incorrect. Of course I would’ve paid it! Why didn’t they call me or mail me an invoice? Now it’s on my otherwise excellent credit score for 7 years. I tried to plea my case to customer service. That was a joke! Do not use this bank. My mother passed away with an account here with my name unknowingly on the account. I lost over 60 points on my credit score because some unknown charge was added after her passing. I was here earlier today after an hour drive only to be told that the bank is "online only". Their online support is terrible and their phone customer support is even worse. This is not just a 1-star review. This is a declaration of accountability. Barclays pretends to offer financial hardship support, but it’s a lie built into the system. I was told by their own representative that I could not qualify for help unless I missed a payment. I didn’t want to damage my credit, but I followed their instructions because I was trying to stay in good faith. I missed the payment. And then? I was instantly denied. Not by a human. This company let someone use my personal info to get a credit card, and when I called to report Fraud you cannot talk to anyone. They keep telling you to call a different number, that number is a recording. Very Fraudulent company! Read reviews!
Don’t know who you are, but you ran my credit for some strange reason on June 6th. Haven’t applied for loans or credit cards in over a year. I’m swimming in debt from being assaulted by an air bnb host who was committing fraud, then turned away by the authorities when I called for help and my life has been a downward spiral since. There was no way I was getting approved for ANYTHING and I’m intelligent enough to know so. Fraud at every corner of this GREAT nation!🤣💯
