Someone opened an account in my name which I received a notification of via SOFI, a reputable bank that utilizes all 3 bureaus. This company keeps telling me nobody has opened an account, when I can see it on my report and caused my score to drop by 20 points. I call and they ask for my FULL social security number. All of you are scammers
I had a Barclay's credit card for many years, until today. It had the worst rate and fees of all my cards and they always provided the worst service, but it was one of the oldest so I kept it around. The last credit increase put my credit line at $20k (my fico hovers around 820 FICO). Received notice in June 2025 that they were cutting my credit line from $20k to $5k. Paid my account with money orders that I paid for. They were not accepted by this bank, nor were they returned. The bank kept the money and charged me with default. No one listened to me. I would be extremely careful about this place. You could face a ruin
