Highly recommend This school is everything we expect in a Montessori school. We moved here from out of state and loved the previous Montessori school my daughter attended and were hoping to find a solid Montessori school here in our new town. We found it at Barbara Gordon. My daughter is thriving at this school. The Headmistress is wonderful and accommodating. BGMS ROCKS! Our oldest son attends this school. It has been wonderful for us! Our son had hearing issues and was speech delayed. His bday is late in the year so he was nearly 6 when starting Primary. Because of his delay we were concerned that private school may be too difficult for him until he catches up w/other kids. Didn't want to pay for Kindergarten twice! Also, didn't want our son to be 7 and repeating kindergarten.We toured many private schools and couldn't seem to find one that fit our sons needs. We couldn't sleep ... read more
Great School! We attended this school and were very happy with it. We would still be there if we could afford to be there. I was very active in fundraising as well as a classroom parent. We loved the guides/teachers and the staff. I have stayed in touch with my sons teachers and from what I hear the board of directors decided to let Mrs. Roark go. Micro Management from Head of School and Rude!!! I was told I could not transport my child on a field trip that was out of County. I was told to keep my child at home and there would not be provisions made to teach her while the other children went on the field trip. They do not have back ground searches done on vol. parents; do not check for valid DL and 3 years ago there was an active father in the Dad's club who was a perpetrator ( found out after we left the school).
