My wife and I have been with this bank for a very long time, and had never had a problem. My wife was actually with this bank, years before I was even. We actually moved out of Greenville, but still used them, since we loved them so much. That was until they refused to accept a check. My wife does photography on the side, not enough to justify a separate account. A client made the check out to my wife's name, with the word photography on the end. You are correct that checks may have been cashed in the past even when your name did not appear on the account. Banking rules allow double endorsement which is essentially the payee endorses the check, as does the second party who then assumes responsibility for the check should it be returned. Slow service, MASSIVE hidden fees. Be careful what you sign up for! I tried them, then ditched this fee happy bank.Their online banking is simply horrible. GOOD LUCK
