I was a long-time customer of Bank of the West. I actually have been with the bank for about 30 years as it got swallowed by one larger bank after another. I was quite pleased with their service and their customer orientation. Last month BMO took Bank of the West over and, in the space of a week managed to alienate me with abominable service.
