AVOID BANK OF THE WEST at all costs. We had the rate locked for a refi and they asked us to setup bank accounts and deposit money into their bank, which we did, and they held it for months and then denied the loan. We're 6 months into this process and now we're back at square one. Reminds me of Wells Fargo just setting up accounts and charging fees without providing any service.
