Very disappointing experience. I had only recently opened my account and enrolled in direct deposit when BMO suddenly decided to close my account with zero warning, leaving me without access to my own funds. Being locked out of your money without proper notice is completely unacceptable. Be careful when banking here. Based on my experience, I would not trust this bank again and would advise others to think twice before opening an account here. Very sleezy! This bank allows people open corporate accounts without proper investigation. Kick them out of doing business in the U.S.
This bank stole both money and over 20 hours of my time. They locked me from my account, withdrew access from my funds, and didn’t pay a promised bonus. Save your time and your money, it’s too late for me.
Do yourself a favor and do not bank here. I had one of the most incredible bait and switch situations of my entire life here, where the moment I opened an account and transferred funds, the banker ghosted me entirely. No responses to emails, calls, texts — and then a 180 degree personality change, becoming rude to the point I had to request to work with a different banker.
