I had a very difficult time closing my savings account. On the phone, or the Clive BMO branch they were not able or willing to help. I really appreciate this branch being so kind and taking care of this issue for me and being so thoughtful.

I’d like to say I was denied a checking account, but I was never able to actually reach the apparent ‘higher up’ who would explain to me precisely why I was unable to open an account. I was initially told this was due to an account closure with a savings account I opened and had zero activity on (it was a program with my college that I never ended up utilizing) with a credit union in my previous state. Promotions are lies. Spouse signed up in November while a promotion for $400 was being offered. Verified in person at local branch the terms of said promotion and that it was in fact happening still on the date the account was opened. Was told to keep positive balance for 90 days and they would then apply credit. That would have been in March but no money ever came in and it is now mid May and we have been trying to get a resolution for weeks.
