I normally don’t write reviews, but this experience at BMO in Seattle was unacceptable. I came in recently to request printed statements because I needed them for a new apartment application. Instead of handling my personal information with professionalism and confidentiality, the teller decided to loudly announce “your account is negative” in front of everyone in the lobby. Please note this is a review of the Seattle Branch. I had an issue with my account that I had opened online. The online team was not able to asssit me in any way, so I decided to visit the closest branch. One of the bankers at the Seattle location, Sam was very helpful and patient in getting it all sorted out when the online team was not able to. Update: Plaid said they have a known issue with BMO on their end so hopefully they and BMO are able to resolve it. Review about the bank in general, not this specific branch. Couldn’t connect to the bank via plaid which is an issue I’ve never had before (plaid said incorrect password despite me using the same credentials that worked on bmo.com), but Zelle worked. The interest rate is worse than other banks but other than that I suppose it’s not bad.

Terrible bank, do not deal with them. Bombarded my account with fees and then refused to refund them past the 2 months with 0 account activity! Terrible bank
