Took me two hours to do some basic business banking at this branch. I thought the problem was just San Mateo, but cheerful incompetence is the norm with BMO Bank. Their Fremont Branch was quick to hand our money over to identity thieves. It took us months to work through the issue. We did, so I wasn't going to complain, but the last time I had to call them for a bank statement which THEY lost (it's vanished from the website) they made it impossible to get to anyone to talk to. AVOID BMO. ANY BMO.
Terrible customer service. They are very unfriendly. They were not willing to help me at all.
This is the most dysfunctional bank I’ve ever encountered. Appalling inter-departmental communication. The staff are friendly and welcoming but hampered by the fact this bank is a complete mess. Avoid at all costs.
Stay clear of this bank. They give out fake $100 bills and cannot be trusted. This is a fraudulent bank stealing from their customers. My grandmother only receives $100 bills from this branch and no place else. They refuse to believe they are at fault and carry fake bills. Move your money out of this bank as soon as possible to better banks such as Chase or Wells Fargo.
