Trying to make a call to speak to a customer service person was a nightmare. When i finally reached a real person it was very difficult to understand them because of their thick accent. He was very polite and helped me with my problem.
I am treasurer for a nonprofit organization that has banked with BMO and its predecessors for over 20 years. Last month I was forced to open a new account because supposedly when the original account was set up it was set up wrong. I understood we would receive a free box of checks since I had just ordered new checks that I had to shred (today I was told they weren’t ordered yet and it will be $38!). Work for a person that has an account there. When he pays me with a check, I go there to cash it and they charge me ten dollars. Would like to know why, when this person has the money in their bank. They said if I had an account it would be free, but was told I would have to come back at a later time. C'mon man, you can do better.
