Here’s my biggest issue with BMO: like so many corporate giants, they tried to “streamline” everything with technology. But in small towns, and in small businesses, human connection still matters — a lot. Horrible incorrect app and then they will transfer you to hundred people that you have to explain the issue to each one, PLUS verify your identity every single time and put you on hold for eternity while they handle the simplest situation. GO TO ANOTHER BANK
I went in to make a deposit and they talked me into applying for a credit card when I wasn't interested in doing so. They told me that it wouldn't affect my credit. I was denied and my credit was affected. I was lied to.
